For some strange reason, I've always been intrigued by the number 7. Perhaps it's because it's such a nice prime number, or because of the mystical qualities associated with the 7th son of a 7th son, or the promise of rest on that 7th day. Whatever it is, I've always liked 7.

For gardeners in the south bay, one little jewel of a resource is the non-profit Common Ground Garden Supply and Education Center.
